Bro. Ross Patterson began Gateway
Baptist Church 38 years ago in the
basement of one of the members. It has
grown to own its own 300 seat auditorium
and educational building. The Lord led Bro.
Patterson to pass the torch to Pastor J.
Martin in October of 2007. Pastor Martin's
first service was November 4, 2007,
bringing a message on "Rebuilding the
Walls." Pastor Martin is excited about the
legacy that Gateway has and is
encouraged by the willingness of its people
to continue to Go and Grow for the Lord.
Gateway Baptist also began Gateway Bible
Campgrounds. Many boys and girls have
come through the camp and have turned
into godly men and ladies who are serving
the Lord faithfully in their local church.
Faith Baptist Church in Gulfport, MS, has
recently bought the campground from us.
We look forward to working with them in
continuing the ministry of Gateway.
